Training Programs in Los Angeles and Denver
Fully supported by accelerators (Techstars and LaunchStarz) and mentors, this program provided advice, recommendations and teachings tailored to the needs of each individual company
Provided multiple networking opportunities with aerospace professionals in Los Angeles and Denver
Business matching support provided by the State of Colorado and the City of Denver Economic Development Department, the Consulate General of Japan in Denver, and the Japan America Society
Some of the participating startups succesfully established US hub / office through this program

Program Schedule
(PST)

01. Selection / Interview

6/1~7/31

Individual online interviews in English (15-minute pitch and 10-minute Q&A) were conducted by Techstars and LaunchStarz for those who passed the document screening stage

02. Domestic program (Online)

8/5~8/30

Provided 1 on 1 mentoring and workshops (3 times each) by local professionals
Eliminated any doubts about entering the American market and helped startups check in advance for any possible barriers or points of contention
In preparation for the local program LaunchStarz helped the startups create an in-depth plan and priorities document so they could hit ground running when they arrived in the U.S.

03. Local program

2 week course: 9/9~9/20

4 week course: 9/9~10/4

Startups had the option to choose the length of their stay in the US from 2 weeks or 4 weeks
Program is designed to visit Los Angeles and Denver, two cities where the American aerospace industry is concentrated
Provided sessions covering both technical and business aspects

01. Individual 1on1 mentoring

Experts in the aerospace field provided accompanying support as mentors (approximately 1 hour/twice a week), and LaunchStarz provided hands-on support for the startups via individual walk-in consultations to support business aspects

02. Various sessions

While providing sessions covering both technical and business aspects, the program also provided advice sessions from experts regarding various regulations, laws, taxes, etc. unique to Deep Tech

03. Event

Provided opportunities for practical presentations tailored to the situation through various networking venues. LaunchStarz personally worked with every startup to refine their pitches and ensure they were ready to present in front of large audiences. In Colorado, startups attended a Pitch Event where investors and people in the startup industry attended over Denver Startup Week
